“I am a second-generation Financial Advisor and grew up in the industry. Learning from my mother, Margo, I gained a keen perspective on the importance of helping clients identify and plan for their long-term financial goals.”
Focus
Andrew is a dedicated Financial Advisor who takes the time to truly understand his clients’ aspirations, listening closely to what they hope to achieve. He then crafts personalized wealth management strategies designed to support informed investment decisions and help clients realize their vision for the future.
Education & Professional Achievements
The passion for financial planning was sparked early on, having grown up immersed in the industry and witnessing firsthand how his mother, also a Financial Advisor, empowered clients to navigate life’s financial complexities through thoughtful planning. Inspired by her example, Andrew pursued a career in financial advising. Andrew earned his Master in Business from Rockhurst University and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Andrew launched his career at Raytheon in the Financial Leadership Development Program where he spent four years before transitioning to Cerner as a Financial Analyst.
In 2016, Andrew joined Wells Fargo Advisors and, in 2018, formed a professional partnership with his mother, Margo Shepard. Their shared vision inspired the founding of Shepard Wealth Advisors, LLC in March 2024; an independent practice devoted to helping individuals and businesses develop investment and financial strategies that align with their needs, goals, and risk tolerances. Together, the Shepard team is dedicated to helping individuals and business develop financial and investment strategies that align with their needs, goals, and risk tolerances. Andrew’s mission is to provide every client with targeted, holistic financial advice and portfolio management strategies – delivered with the highest level of personal service and unwavering professional integrity.
Personal
Beyond serving his clients, Andrew is deeply committed to his community. An Eagle Scout with a passion for the Scouts BSA, he mentors youth in rank advancements and helps plan city wide events for the Heart of American Council. In 2019, Andrew was selected to join the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions leadership development program, gaining deeper insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the city.
Andrew married his wife, Katherine, in May of 2025. A devoted Kansas City Royals fan, he has proudly attended a game in all 30 Major League ballparks, a testament to his love for baseball and adventure alike.
