Achievements, experience & education
I pursued my interest in becoming a Financial Advisor after growing up in the industry and seeing first-hand how my mother, as a Financial Advisor, helped her clients put planning strategies in place to address each financial goal and challenge throughout their lives.
My educational background includes earning my Masters in Business (MBA) from Rockhurst University and my Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
I began my career at Raytheon in the Financial Leadership Development Program for 4 years before transitioning to Cerner as a Financial Analyst. In 2016, I joined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor and in 2018 I partnered with my mother, Margo Shepard, to form the Shepard Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.
Together, our team is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses develop financial and investment strategies that align with their needs, goals, and risk tolerances. Our mission is to provide every client with targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management strategies - delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.
Away from the office
In addition to helping my clients, I am committed to helping my community. As an Eagle Scout, I have always had a passion for the Scouts BSA, mentoring young people in rank advancements and planning city wide events for the Heart of America Council.
I serve on the Finance Council for St. James in Midtown Kansas City and am a member of the American Royal Chairman’s Club. Additionally, I volunteer with Cristo Rey Kansas City, the First Hand Foundation and have recently become a board member at Catholic Charities of Kansas City, Missouri.
In 2019, I was selected to join the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions leadership development program, providing an opportunity to learn in depth about the opportunities and challenges facing the city.
I am an avid Kansas City Royals fan.
